Descend Into the House of Hades

The Gods envy us.

They envy us because we are mortal,
Because any moment might be our last.
Everything is more beautiful because we’re doomed

And we envy them.

We envy their power.
Their permanence.
Their certainty.
They do not tremble before darkness or death.

Between us: a love story—
Mortals and immortals.
The doomed and the undying.

Now, in the season of Skorpios, we descend.
Through ancient Troy.
Into the House of Hades.

For one descent, the Underworld opens its gates.

Come dressed as you might have in the streets of Troy
On the night it burned —
When there was no veil between worlds.

Will you come as mortal?
Immortal?
Or something already half-turned?

Walk out of a war and into the House of Hades —
From a city in its last hour
To a spectacle of fire and flesh.

Say you are a child of Earth and starry sky,
And ask to drink from the river of memory.

For some veils part only once.
